Rachel Getting Married (2008) Wow, Anne Hathaway was really good in this. The film was frustrating in that it left a lot hanging or gave clues that never went anywhere. Which is like life, I suppose, if that’s what you want in a movie rather than everything tied up in a bow at the end. Rocky and I were thinking Kym’s character was a real antihero—she was the protagonist, but she...

The Good German (2006) - Pretty good Soderbergh-directed murder mystery, set in 1946 Berlin. Um…lessee. Haven’t seen anything in a theater lately, but on DVD: Idiocracy - (2006) Kinda cute, but kinda stupid. Let’s say three out of five stars. (Netflix) Batman Begins - First time I’ve seen this since it came out in theaters. (DVD, from Rocky) Four stars. Belle Epoque - (1992) I guess this won the Best Foreign Language film at the Oscars back in 1993 or whenever...

Snow!
Snow this morning…completely unexpected. I thought it was supposed to be nice until Wednesday or something. Anyway, stayed over at Rocky’s house, but rode back home on my road bike (a bit slippery), got some warmer clothes/heavy gloves/mountain bike, and rode in to work. Not slippery at all—in fact, it was perfect bicycling snow! Fresh, packed enough so you didn’t have to...
