Books Read
Butcher Bird, Sandman Slim, and Kill the Dead, by Richard Kadrey. All really good; the last was my favorite.
Also, started reading the Fables series of graphic novels, which I’ve heard about for ages, and I really like. There’s a lot to read, though, and it’s taking me some time to get all the books through the public library.

Babby
Baby’s doing well. On Tuesday, his weight was up to 8 lbs., 13.1 ounces. Still having some feeding issues, but we hope that we can get them resolved soon. He seems to be totally healthy and happy. The “Happiest Baby on the Block” tricks for keeping him quiet, which we watched recently, are invaluable.
Five-week midwife follow-up visit on Monday. I’m back to work on...

John Junior
Born Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at 9:42 p.m. Seven pounds, eleven ounces; twenty inches long. He’s named after me. Rocky did the whole thing without any drugs or anesthetic or anything. Baby’s fine and healthy, after a rough first few days of not getting enough breast milk, but he’s good now. Yay!
